South Central Oregon Economic Development District (SCOEDD) is proud to announce its ongoing support and commitment to fostering economic growth and community development in Klamath and Lake Counties. SCOEDD is involved in several upcoming projects including infrastructure improvements, workforce development programs, and small business support services, all aimed at creating a thriving economic environment.
Klamath Falls, Oregon – May 2024 – South Central Oregon Economic Development District (SCOEDD) is proud to announce its ongoing support and commitment to fostering economic growth and community development in Klamath and Lake Counties. SCOEDD is involved in several upcoming projects including infrastructure improvements, workforce development programs, and small business support services, all aimed at creating a thriving economic environment.
CAPACITY (Grant Writing and Technical Assistance): SCOEDD’s Executive Director, Denise Stilwell, is proud to welcome its newest employee, Natalie Parker. A native of Klamath Falls and a seasoned grant writer, with vast knowledge in raising funds for both for- and non-profit entities. Denise emphasizes, with its current staff and the addition of Natalie as Development Director, “SCOEDD’s capacity to secure funding and ensure compliance standards has been significantly bolstered.”
CAPITAL (Business Loans and Fiscal Management): SCOEDD provides its customers with robust fiscal management services by providing capital for small businesses that cannot obtain traditional funding and its deep understanding of the financial challenges that local governments and organizations face. These efforts ensure the prudent use of funds, critical for the success and sustainability of local economic initiatives. As Janine Cheyne, SCOEDD’s Financial Director explains, “we not only want our communities and businesses to grow, we want them to thrive.”
CONNECTING (Partner Relationships and Outreach): SCOEDD is a vital connector among various Klamath and Lake Counties stakeholders. By fostering partnerships between local businesses, government entities, and non-profit organizations, SCOEDD helps leverage collective strengths, thereby enhancing community efforts towards common goals.
